Lisa attended the University of Buffalo and graduated from Millard Fillmore School of Nursing as an RN in 1986. She started her career at the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital working on the surgical and medical floors. After completing her critical care certification at Mohawk College, she worked in the emergency room and was nightshift supervisor for the hospital. For the last 25 years, she has worked in the Intensive Care Unit at Niagara Health, Welland site. Because of the difficult nature of her job as a critical care RN, writing has been an outlet to soothe her soul, after trying and emotional shifts at the hospital. Her love of writing has endured since she was a child, and she has now finally pursued her dreams, publishing her first book in November 2022 entitled, "The Looking Glass." With her second book
now completed, she is hoping for publication by the end of 2023. .Lisa is a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend to many. She loves music, singing and playing piano, beachglassing on the lake she lives near, kayaking and spending time with her beloved children and grandchildren. She is a collector of people and their stories , hoping her books speak deeply to readers.
Lisa resides in Southern Ontario, steps away from Lake Erie. She receives inspiration from long walks along the beach near her home, and the people she meets along her way. Lisa is truly a story teller through her poetry of the people, places and experiences she collects throughout her life.
